Alaric Jackson will likely be suspended for punching Bradley Chubb.
Alaric Jackson punched Bradley Chubb after a Monday Night Football contest between the Buffalo Bills and Los Angeles Rams. He will be suspended for at least one game by the NFL. Here’s why.
While no announcement has been publicly made at this time, past precedent suggests punishment will be handed down. A similar situation played out last season. Swift action was taken.
In October of 2025, Brian Branch smacked Juju Smith-Schuster with an open hand after a game between the Chiefs and Lions. Smith Schuster had his helmet on.

That slap sparked an on-field tussle involving both benches. The NFL responded with its penalty a day later.
Alaric Jackson will be suspended for punching Bradley Chubb.
“Your aggressive, non-football act was entirely unwarranted, posed a serious risk of injury, and clearly violated the standards of conduct and sportsmanship expected of NFL players,” NFL V.P. of football operations Jon Runyan wrote in a letter to Brian Branch last year. “Your conduct reflected poorly on the NFL and has no place in our game.”
You could argue that Jackson’s punch was far more egregious. Bradley Chubb was not wearing a helmet. He took a shot directly on the chin.

The exchange came after a dramatic overtime win for the Bills. The two sides went back and forth trading blows up until the final whistle.
Buffalo took a 34-27 lead inside the final two minutes of regulation. Los Angeles responded with a touchdown on its ensuing possession. In overtime, the Rams forced a turnover. They moved into field goal range, but a game-winning kick was blocked.
The Bills took back over on offense and won the game, 37-34. Sean McVay was sick after the fact. Emotions were high. They got the best of both players.
The two linemen battled throughout the contest. Chubb appeared to take issue with Jackson’s play. He began jawing while Jackson spoke to a teammate. Here’s what he had to say about the altercation.

Jackson responded to Chubb’s criticism with a confrontation and subsequent punch. He should expect no less than a one-game suspension as a result.
