Earlier today, news broke that 49’ers linebacker Aldon Smith was arrested for DUI, vandalism, and hit and run.
TMZ is now reporting that Smith got into an on-field fight with QB Colin Kaepernick hours before he was arrested.
Multiple Niner locker room sources tell TMZ Sports … Aldon and Colin had an altercation on the field during Thursday’s practice, and “players had to pull them apart.”
Rumors have been swirling on the Internet all day that Smith may have gone to jail for vandalizing Kaepernick’s car after confronting him about dating his ex-girlfriend, Hot 97 host Nessa. Those rumors haven’t been confirmed, but after TMZ’s report there looks like there’s a decent chance that it may turn out to be true.

It’s also worth noting that Smith has denied that he was drunk and is fighting the charges.
