Houston Astros slugger Alex Bregman is an excellent baseball player but as the face of the Astros franchise during the team’s sign-stealing scandal he’s easily become one of the most hated players in the league especially after many felt his explanation for the team’s cheating during the 2017 World Series was phony.

Unfortunately for Bregman, many have been quoting his appearance on Pardon My Take where he said he liked how players “police themselves” with unwritten rules of baseball.

One of our favorite things to ask baseball players is, we’re obsessed with ‘unwritten rules.’ What’s your favorite ‘unwritten rule?’”

I like all of them, honestly. I kind of like the way the game has always policed itself,” B. “I think that if you do some stupid stuff on the field, either you or one of your teammates is gonna get hit for how you’re acting. I kind of like that. I kind of like those rules.”

Seems like Bregman is already being exposed to baseball’s unwritten rules when he became the 7th Astros player to get pegged during Spring Training on Wednesday.

Fans very much enjoyed watching Bregman getting plunked.
