It seems like everyone has an opinion about everything. Even virtual personal assistants. You would assume that Amazon’s Alexa would have an impartial rooting interest in the 2018 Super Bowl, but the digital personal assistant is dropping hot takes never-the-less. New England Patriots fans will not be excited to find out that Alexa is rooting hard for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The artificial assistant is hoping that the Eagles win Super Bowl 52. She not only says she is rooting for the Eagles, but she coughs and struggles to say that the Patriots are the favorites to win Super Bowl LII. “I’m flying with the Eagles on this one, because of their relentless defense and the momentum they’ve been riding off their underdog status,” Alexa says. The personal assistant goes so far in her fandom of Philly that she even sings, “E-A-G-L-E-S, Eagles!” There will be some Alexa’s thrown out windows in the Boston area because of this opinion.

Not sure if Amazon should have such a slanted rooting interest, but they are banking that a majority of people are against the Pats. Amazon’s CEO Jeff Bezos was born in New Mexico, but he did attend Princeton University in New Jersey, which could have given him some rooting interests in Philadelphia. The Patriots are favored by 4.5 points. Patriots fans will probably be cheering when Alexa loses her voice in Amazon’s Super Bowl commercial.
