Alycia Baumgardner is looking for a fight against boxing icon Katie Taylor before she retires, and not Caroline Dubois.
Earlier this year, Taylor announced that she planned to retire after a fight in her hometown of Dublin.
“I just want to fight in Dublin to end my career. Obviously we’re still hoping for Croke Park, we’re hanging on to a bit of hope that it can happen.
“If it doesn’t happen there are plenty of options there. I have obviously fought in the 3Arena a couple of times, the Aviva Stadium is also there. Croke Park would the top of the list.”
On Friday night, Baumgardner got into a back-and-forth with challenger Bo Me Re Shin but ended up handily edging out her opponent via unanimous decision win.

After the fight, Baumgardner called out Taylor and Amanda Serrano.

While fans want to see her fight Dubois, Baumgardner makes it clear that she only wants to fight the biggest names in boxing.
“She’s not nowhere near where I am, take a seat put some skin in the game. You just don’t get a fight by calling someone else out, you got to put the work in, but like I stated, I’m with the biggest fights. I am a prize fighter, not a charity fighter.’
