The LSU Tigers clinched the National Championship in the women’s bracket and deserve much of the praise that comes with it.
However, there was a public outcry near the end of the game after Angel Reese taunted Caitlin Clark. Now, LSU’s star center reacts.
As you can imagine, Reese arrived at the postgame press conference on cloud nine. She even made a joke about her NIL price “going up,” per Mollie Cahillane.

According to Nicole Auerbach, when asked about the public outcry, Angel Reese shrugged it off and detailed how all she cares about is winning the title with her teammates.
Angel Reese: “I don't care about what anyone else has to say about me. The biggest goal for me is to be a national champion. I don't care about being All-American or a defensive player of the year … I can be me, but I can't do it without my teammates."

After that, Reese talked about how she was critiqued all season long.
Angel Reese: "All year I was critiqued about who I was, I'm too hood, I'm too ghetto, y'all told me that all year. But when other people do it y'all don't say nothing. This was for the girls that look like me, speak for what they believe in, and being unapologetically you."

She even went on to claim she kept the receipts too.
Angel Reese: "I have screenshots on everything you've all said about me all season [on Twitter]. What're y'all gonna say now?"

At the end of the day, taunting is a part of sports. The same people who are mad about Angel Reese taunting Caitlin Clark also complain about the NFL’s no-taunting rule.
Additionally, this is all great coverage for women’s sports. They’re going out there and proving they can be just as exciting as men’s sports.
Get these girls more television time because I’m ready for next season already.
