Right now in the NBA, there are few stories as big as where Damian Lillard will end up playing next season.

He has requested a trade from the Portland Trail Blazers and has already appeared to pick out the Miami Heat as his next team.

Despite that, the Blazers haven’t gotten all that close to a deal and there have been reports that they could drag things out for a while.

It has been clear for a little while now that there is going to need to be a 3rd team involved to get the deal done because the Blazers want a package of picks and players the Heat can’t offer on their own.

One thing that seemingly hasn’t been too difficult in the trade negotiations is finding teams that want to be the 3rd team.

The Brooklyn Nets and Utah Jazz have already been named as teams that want to get involved in the trade to land Tyler Herro.

Now it looks like there’s another team that wants the chance to land Herro.

According to Hoops Hype’s Michael Scotto, the Toronto Raptors are interested in getting involved in the Lillard deal to acquire Tyler Herro.

While Herro is a talented young player that would usually be perfect for a rebuilding team like the Raptors, it is hard to see exactly how he would fit on this Raptors squad.

The wings are a bit crowded for the Raptors already even without Herro.

They already have Gary Trent Jr, OG Anunoby, and Scottie Barnes on the wings and just drafted Grady Dick. Trent Jr could be a part of the Herro deal, but that would still leave them with 4 key players fighting for 2 spots.

The Toronto Raptors must have some kind of plan to make it work if they’re going to pursue Tyler Herro, but there are probably more important things they could be focusing on for their roster right now,
