UPDATE: Anthony Edwards has posted a statement on social media in response to the text messages that Paige Jordae shared.

Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been accused by an Instagram model of allegedly trying to convince her to have an abortion despite her saying she does not want one.
Paige Jordae, an Instagram influencer with over 1.4 million followers, posted the alleged texts between her and Edwards on her Instagram story and Sunday night. As of Monday at 10:00 a.m. EST, the posts remained live on her Instagram Story.
After telling him about the pregnancy, Edwards allegedly said: “Hell naw! Can’t do dis [sic]… Get an abortion. Man you can’t for a kid into da world… You don’t know what it is yet… I don’t want a kid… I will send you money to help you out… Let’s handle this like grown-ups.”
Then, after apparently getting money and/or some kind of abortion treatment, Edwards allegedly said the following in various texts.“Just take the pills… you got the money wats the hol up [sic]… Cause now you finna make a problem.”
Edwards then allegedly and repeatedly asked Jordae to send him a video of either with or taking the abortion pills. One of Jordae’s posts is also of an alleged receipt of a $100,000 payment from Edwards’ lawyer.
“I’ve never once ran to the internet about no one. I tried over and over to handle this privately and my efforts were ignored. I’ve been lied to and manipulated by someone who knows exactly what they’re doing and takes no accountability for anything,” she wrote on Instagram about the alleged ordeal.

The accusations made by Jordae come after other Edwards’ girlfriend Jeanine Robel recently announced she was pregnant.
This season, the Minnesota Timberwolves are atop the NBA’s Western Conference and the play of Edwards is a large reason why, as the 22-year-old is averaging 24 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.
Edwards, who has over 2 million followers on his own Instagram account, has yet to respond to Jordae calling him out.
