Anthony Edwards Hits Head On Rim In Insane Game-Saving Block

Anthony Edwards has arguably been the breakout star of the NBA this year. The third-year player keeps getting better and better, and is one of the league’s best players.

With his elite athleticism, Anthony Edwards is always making plays highlight reel plays. But, his career-highlight play may have come on Thursday night.

Late in the 4th quarter with the Timberwolves clinging to a 113-111 lead, Anthony Edwards had an incredible block on a game-saving block. Take a look.

That’s actually out of this world. There’s no way a human being should be able to jump that high. So high, in fact, that Anthony Edwards hit his head on the rim while blocking Aaron Nesmith’s layup attempt.

Imagine being able to jump high enough to hit your head on the rim. I cannot relate to that at all.

That’s not all that Anthony Edwards did. He had 44 points, 6 rebounds, and assists.

That’s the kind of player the Georgia product has been all year. On the year, he’s averaged 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game for the Western Conference-leading Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards will need to keep up his monster performances, as the team will be without star forward Karl-Anthony Towns until at least the playoffs. He’s out with a torn left meniscus until at least the playoffs.
