Antonio Brown is currently not on good terms with former teammate Ben Roethlisberger but AB’s son doesn’t know that.
Earlier this year, Brown forced his way out of Pittsburgh after getting into a heated exchange with QB Ben Roethlisberger in practice.
Former NFL wide receiver and current NFL Network analyst James Jones went on the record to say that he heard from multiple Steelers players that Roethlisberger’s constantly belittling of Brown reached a boiling point last week in practice.
“I have talked to a couple people in the Pittsburgh Steelers organization and they told me this has been lingering on,” Jones said. “I’ve been told in meetings [Roethlisberger] would take shots at AB. Like, ‘I don’t got to throw you the ball,’ and things like that. Wednesday in practice, I heard he ran the wrong route, Big Ben threw the ball on the ground, said, ‘Get him out of here. Get somebody else in there,’ and that’s when AB was at his boiling point and that’s when he went off.”
Brown would go on blast Roethlisberger on social media and during media appearances for having an “owner’s mentality”.
In a teaser for tonight’s episode of Hard Knocks airing on HBO, Brown was awkwardly asked “where’s Roethlisberger” by his son during Oakland Raiders practice. Brown immediately laughed off his son’s question and told him that Derek Carr was his new quarterback.
Awkward.
“Hard Knocks training camp with the Oakland Raiders airs tonight at 10pm EST on HBO.
