It has been a few months since Antonio Brown stormed off the field during a game between the New York Jets and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but Brown remains without a new team. In that time we haven’t heard much about teams around the league being interested in him.

However, we have heard a lot about the ankle injury that led to Brown says led to his argument with Bruce Arians. Since his mid-game exit, Brown has stated that he will need surgery to repair the injury.

Now, Brown has revealed his timeline for that surgery to TMZ Sports and it’s a timeline that will likely concern any team that was interested in him.

This decision from Brown is only going to make his path back to an NFL roster more difficult. Teams were going to have a hard enough time looking at his past issues and deciding that they should sign him. Now he’s allowing questions about his health to linger.

Unfortunately for Brown, he just isn’t a player teams necessarily have to gamble on anymore. He’ll be 34 in July, which means his days of being a team’s top receiver are likely over at this point. It’s really difficult to see a team taking a chance on a player with this many question marks who won’t even be their top receiver.

We already knew that Antonio Brown was going to have a tough time attracting a new team. He needs to avoid decisions like this that will make it tougher.
