A high school QB is going viral for popping a gruesome dislocated finger back into place before throwing a touchdown pass on the next play. This dude is the definition of “Football Guy.”

The player is Aquinas quarterback Jim Frankin, and he is TOUGH.

During the first round of the Georgia state playoffs, Franklin’s Fightin’ Irish team faced off against Glascock County. They’d roll in that opening matchup to the tune of a 49-28 blowout.

The postseason victory continued what’s been a successful campaign in Augusta. Aquinas went 8-2 during the regular season, winning the region and booking a No. 1 seed in the playoff field.

Much of that success is due to the play of the team’s quarterback. Jim Franklin has thrown for more than 2,400 yards this season, good for 220 YPG. He’s also tossed 29 touchdowns to just seven interceptions while rushing for 435 yards and six more scores.

The junior’s athleticism was on full display in the team’s latest game, as was his toughness.

During one point in the contest, the QB dislocated his finger. He didn’t come off the field, though. Instead, he popped it back into place, took the next snap, and threw a touchdown pass.

Followers immediately commented on the impressive sequence.

“He’s got that dog in him.”

“He’s part cyborg.”

“That’s tough!!”

Franklin and Aquinas will suit up for Round 2 of the playoffs against Macon County on Friday.
