Arch Manning Won’t Start Next Season Despite Nearly $3 Million NIL Valuation Waiting In The Wings

Arch Manning might have the best job in college football.

The Texas Longhorns currently have an awkward situation at QB with Quinn Ewers returning for the 2024 season and Manning, who was heavily recruited after high school, on the bench being forced to wait another year for his turn.

On Wednesday, Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian made it very clear that Ewers will be QB1 next season and that there would be no QB competition between his two QBS.

“Quinn’s our starter,” Sarkisian told Inside Texas

“I don’t think that Quinn was a finished product yet. And I think there’s plenty of room for growth and improvement in development in his game, going into year three,” the coach said. “I do think his experience, his maturity are all going to be things he can benefit from.”

Despite already getting benched, Manning still has the opportunity to make a ton of money if he so chooses.

Last season, Manning cracked the top 5 in NIL valuations with an NIL valuation of $2.8 million, according to ON3, while barely playing.

Manning will likely have been able to earn around $6 million before becoming a starting college QB despite not yet fully tapping into that massive earning potential.

While Arch is likely disappointed that he’s not going to start next, he can’t be too mad about his situation.
