In a recent interview, Johnny Manziel expressed in no uncertain terms how much he is looking forward to the demise of the NCAA.

During a conversation about Reggie Bush getting his Heisman Trophy back on The Favorites podcast this week, Manziel made it very clear how he feels about the NCAA.

“I sit here today and feel ecstatic,” Johnny Manziel said. “Not for myself or what was done, but for Reggie himself. You know, there were a lot of things that came out. Reggie said himself that was as close and ‘as low as I’ve ever been in my life when that thing got taken away from me, my Heisman got taken away from me.’

“So I had empathy for Reggie. I had a soft spot in my heart for a guy who had done so much for the game of college football that wasn’t allowed to be there with us every single year. And I think it was wrong.

“And I’m so thankful for the Heisman Trust to be able to come to a decision like that,” Johnny Manziel continued. “I’m so happy for Reggie to be able to walk into his house again and see his trophy and be able to do that. Because I couldn’t imagine, putting myself in his shoes, and having to go through that.

“And the first thing I though of whenever he got it back was ‘F— the NCAA. Sorry for my language, like, you know, they deserve everything they have coming to them. And it’s only a matter of time before we see the demise of the NCAA forever.

“I’ll be sitting here with a bucket of popcorn and my Heisman trophy right next to me, waiting for the day that I see that alert.”
