The Arizona Cardinals are scheduled to play against the New York Giants in New Jersey on October 4, 2026, which is the same weekend as the wedding of Liv Copp. Owner Michael Bidwill was willing to relinquish the presidential suite for the bride.

It is the PR his team has seen in many years!

However, I question whether the NFL organization could’ve gone even one step further and picked up the tab. Maybe it will!

The Arizona Cardinals are playing in New Jersey on wedding weekend.

Oliva Coppeletti, better known as Liv Copp, got engaged to her fiancé at some point in the middle of 2025. She went on her bachelorette party to West Palm Beach in May.

The soon-to-be-married couple did their engagement shoot in Central Park not too long thereafter.

As far as I can tell, they live in the Big Apple. However, they are getting married at Battello in Jersey City.

The wedding date is set for Sunday, October 4, 2026. That is the same day the New York Giants host the Arizona Cardinals at MetLife Stadium during Week 4 of the regular season with kickoff set for 1:00 p.m.

The NFL schedule created a conflict for Coppeletti.

She wants to stay in the presidential suite at a very specific hotel for her wedding day/night. The goal was for her bridesmaids, hair and makeup team, photographers and family to spend the morning getting ready in the room. She and her husband would then stay there on Sunday night into Monday. It is a very common practice.

Unfortunately, the hotel was unable to book the room for her wedding because it is contractually obligated to hold space for visiting football teams that are playing at MetLife Stadium. Players and coaches typically stay at the Westin Jersey City Newport. It is right across the street from the wedding venue.

According to the hotel, the visiting head coach typically stays in the presidential suite. That would be Mike LaFleur.

One thing led to another and Copeletti shot her shot. She sent an email to the Cardinals hoping that someone within the organization would read it and give her the opportunity to book the Presidential Suite on her wedding weekend.

Is Michael Bidwell going to pay for the Presidential Suite?

Olivia Coppeletti sent a beautifully-crafted email to eight different addresses associated with the Arizona Cardinals. Her letter presented the organization with the “most ridiculous request it will receive all season” because “[Coach LaFleur] unknowingly became the final obstacle standing between her and her dream wedding suite.”

“If you are not planning to use that suite on Sunday, October 4, would you consider letting a desperate bride have a chance to book it?”

She followed up with a brilliant appeal to the organization’s desire to leave New Jersey with a victory over the Giants.

“To be clear, I fully understand that football is more important than my wedding weekend. The Cardinals have a game to win. I have hair and makeup to get done. Different priorities.”

And then Coppeletti could only sit and wait for a response. The senior vice president for media relations responded back!

Coach LaFleur was not going to use the suite that weekend. It was booked for team owner Michael Bidwell. Bidwell sent a personalized video message to Coppeletti. He is more than happy to relinquish the presidential suite.

Great work, Arizona Cardinals. Even better work by Coppeletti. She got the bridal suite of her dreams. This is an incredible PR move from the organization. It’s a win-win.

However, I do wonder if Bidwell could’ve gone one step further. I don’t know how much it costs to reserve the presidential suite for that specific Sunday but it would’ve been even cooler if the billionaire owner of the Cardinals let the bride use the hotel room and actually picked up the tab. (To be fair, maybe he did. He didn’t say.)
