Morale is low in Fayetteville after Arkansas football suffered its third-straight loss on Saturday. Head coach Sam Pittman is in his fourth season with the program and fans are calling for his head.

The Razorbacks returned quarterback K.J. Jefferson and running back Raheim ‘Rocket’ Sanders for 2023 after winning nine games in 2021 and seven games in 2022. They were supposed to be the backfield duo that propelled the program back to the relevance it had failed to sustain since 2011.

That is not the case. There is still a lot of season left. It’s only five games in.

However, the outlook for Arkansas is grim. The College Football Playoff is impossible at this point. A New Year’s Six Bowl appearance has gone by the wayside. Winning the SEC West is out of the picture.

At best, the Razorbacks will finish 9-3. They would need to beat Ole Miss, Florida and Alabama on the road, and FIU, Missouri, Auburn and Mississippi State at home.

Worst case scenario, Arkansas is looking at eight or nine losses. More than likely, it is looking at at least six. Based on how they played in the last three games, getting to a bowl game will be difficult.

The Razorbacks blew first-half leads to BYU and LSU, and could not pull out a winnable game against Texas A&M. There is very little hope for the team to turn it around against back-to-back top-15 opponents, which has had a direct impact on ticket sales.

Arkansas will play its next home game on Oct. 21 and the school’s ticket office is working overtime to get butts in the seats before things get even worse and people check out even more. That’s not a good sign.

Hoooo boy. Just got a call from the Razorback ticket office asking if I “needed any additional tickets”. It’s not going great when they start making those phone calls

If Pittman is going to be fired, it will be because he lost games, the team, and the fanbase. Based on Adam’s phone call from the ticketing department, it seems as though the fanbase is already lost.
