Tampa Bay signal caller Baker Mayfield showed out in an upset of the Packers on Sunday. The passer posted a perfect QB rating, making history in the process.

No opposing quarterback had accomplished that feat before Mayfield’s recent performance.

Mayfield was near flawless in the outing, completing 22-of-28 attempts for 381 yards. He threw a quartet of touchdown passes, all to different Bucs receivers.

The performance was by far his best on the season, helping Tampa Bay improve to 7-7 for a share of first place in the NFC South. Sunday represented Mayfield’s first 300-yard game since Week 2.

But while Baker Mayfield received praise from NFL fans online, Packers defensive coordinator Joe Barry was catching heat.

Fans call to fire Packers DC after Baker Mayfield’s historic performance.

Green Bay supporters were NOT happy with Barry’s defensive unit after the loss to the Bucs, and they let their voices be heard on social media.

Calls for the coordinator’s job immediately surfaced online as fans look for a change.

“Another Joe Barry disaster class.”

“The Joe Barry effect. A week after making Tommy Devito look like Elway.”

“Fire Joe Barry.”

“Joe Barry is a master at creating an Offensive Player of the Week.”

The loss was the Packers’ second straight after falling to the Giants in Week 14. At 6-8 on the season, Green Bay finds itself in third place in the NFC North standings and on the outside looking in in the playoff race.
