The Cleveland Browns are currently 1-2 and Baker Mayfield has been struggling early on to get the team’s offense clicking.

After the team’s latest loss Baker vowed that the Browns were eventually going to right the ship.

“Don’t hit the panic button. I think we realize how close we are, but that is the frustrating part. We can’t have continued mistakes – the same thing over and over again. We have to do our job. Have to hit the reset button. Look at the film. Learn from it. I think we improved in a lot of areas, but when you play a team like that, the little mistakes will get you. We have to eliminate that. Next week we have another good opponent that is playing well right now.”
Mayfield has been getting crushed by the media for the Browns disappointing start. Earlier this week Rex Ryan went on ESPN and called Baker “overrated as hell”.

Today Baker responded to Ryan’s hot take but reminding everyone there was a reason why Rex wasn’t in the league anymore.

I mean, in the wise words of Freddie Kitchens, if you don’t wear orange and brown, you don’t matter, and Rex Ryan doesn’t have any colors right now for a reason. So it’s OK.”
Even head coach Freddie Kitchens had to fire back at Ryan.

While it’s fun to see Baker responding to criticism should probably be focused on getting the Browns wins before fans and the media begin turning on him.
