Tomorrow’s Baltimore Orioles Game Will Be Played In Front Of Zero Fans

The unrest in Baltimore has resulted in two consecutive Orioles postponements. Wanting to get one of the three scheduled games against the Chicago White Sox in, the team is taking the drastic measure of closing tomorrow’s game to 2 p.m. and closing it to the public.

That’s right. There will literally be zero fans in attendance.

Set your DVRs. Going to be surreal.

In addition, the Orioles’ weekend series with the Tampa Bay Rays has been moved to Florida. Baltimore will still be “the home team.”

Not permitting fans to attend a game is sometimes seen in soccer, but is usually a result of poor in-stadium behavior by fans.
