Indiana running back Lee Beebee Jr. appears to run out of bounds in a game against Northwestern on Sept. 25, 2026.
Following the disaster that was the ending to the season-opening game between Michigan and Western Michigan, theĀ Big TenĀ conference assured fans that it would have a more transparent review process moving forward.
Well, just three weeks later, it appears that was a lie.
Late in Fridayās game between Northwestern and Indiana, Hoosiers running back Lee Beebee junior broke off a big 70-yard run to put Indiana inside the Wildcatsā 10-yard line.
However, Beebe appears to have stepped out of bounds at the 11-yard line, rather than the 5, where the ball was ultimately spotted.

The play went to review, which should have been made availabale to the viewing public.
On Sept. 9, the Big Ten announced that all broadcasts will āfeature live audio between the game referee and replay official during reviews, alongside video of the game footage being viewed during the process and a view inside the state-of-the-art Big Ten Replay Center.ā
However, that was not the case on Friday night. Instead, the only audio that was available to fans was that of the referee, and not the Big Ten Replay Center.
The Big Ten was supposed to be allow viewers to listen in to the replay review but the audio only worked from the Referee, not the Replay Center.

Fans were quick to call out the issue, and just moments later, Indiana scored the game-winning touchdown on a quarterback sneak by Josh Hoover.
Perhaps Indiana would have scored regardless. But itās yet another incident of a shady review process benefitting one of the Big Tenās top teams.
