Bill Belichick is at the center of a major NFL controversy over an accidental text, but some fans believe he knew what he was doing.
On Tuesday night, former Miami Dolphins head coach Brian Flores filed a racial discrimination lawsuit against the NFL.

In the lawsuit, Flores provided text messages from Belichick in which the Patriots head coach thought he was congratulating Brian Daboll for landing the Giants head coaching job days before Flores was set to interview with the team. Flores goes on to accuse the Giants of using him to appease the league’s Rooney Rule, which requires teams to interview minority candidates for their open positions after already hiring Daboll.
Flores' suit includes texts from Bill Belichick that appear to show him congratulating him on getting the Giants job, mistakenly believing he was texting Brian Daboll. This was before Flores' interview with the Giants took place.

While it appears that Belichick made an honest mistake, some fans believe he deliberately sent the texts to screw over the Giants and the NFL.
