Bill Belichick Shares His Thoughts On Tom Brady After Retirement Announcement

This morning, Tom Brady annnounced that he would be retiring from football for the 2nd time and that it was going to stick this time.

After the announcement, members of the football community flooded Brady’s comment sections with messages about the greatness of his career that is now coming to an end.

Now we can add his former coach to the list of people who have shared their thoughts on the legendary quarterback today.

Through the New England Patriots Twitter account, Bill Belichick shared a message for his former quarterback.

Tom Brady was the ultimate winner. He entered the NFL with little to no fanfare and leaves as the most successful player in league history. His relentless pursuit of excellence drove him on a daily basis. His work ethic and desire to win were both motivational and inspirational to teammates and coaches alike.Tom was a true professional who carried himself with class and integrity throughout his career. I thank Tom for the positive impact he had on me and on the Patriots and congratulate him on his amazing career.

We have never seen a quarterback and coach have as much success together as Tom Brady and Bill Belichick.

Together, Brady and Belichick combined for 219 regular season wins and added another 30 wins in the playoffs.

More importantly, they combined to win more Super Bowls for the New England Patriots than any other franchise has in their entire history.

Despite the Patriots’ dynasty eventually breaking up, there has always been a clear respect between Brady and Belichick and it’s nice to hear this praise from the legendary coach as the greatest QB he’ll ever coach heads into retirement.
