The Bills have are strengthen their backfield midseason, adding former Jaguars and Buccaneers running back Leonard Fournette.

According to NFL Insider Tom Pelissero, Fournette, also known as, “Playoff Lenny,” is signing to the practice squad.

Lenny put up solid numbers last season, racking up almost 1,200 all-purpose yards, which included a career-high 523 receiving yards and 6 touchdowns.

The Bills had a bit of a setback when their running back Damien Harris took a hard hit during a recent Sunday Night Football game, resulting in a neck injury that had him hauled off to the hospital in an ambulance. He was later placed the injured reserve list.

Fournette’s NFL career has seen its ups and downs. He began as the 4th overall pick for the Jaguars back in the 2017 Draft, but that adventure didn’t end well, leading to his release before the 2020 season.

He then landed in Tampa Bay, where he shared the field with the legendary Tom Brady for three seasons.

Fournette has rushed for 4,478 yards and scored 34 touchdowns in his career, and while showing he also has a solid set of hands, with 312 catches for 2,219 yards and 7 touchdowns.
