Stefon Diggs has been at the center of a fair amount of drama with the Bills over the past couple of years, and that saga has finally come to an end after the team decided to trade him a day after he hopped online to suggest he was instrumental to Josh Allen’s success.

The Buffalo Bills acquired Stefon Diggs from the Minnesota Vikings prior to the start of the 2020 NFL campaign, and it didn’t take very long for Josh Allen to develop some chemistry with the wide receiver who quickly became the team’s most dangerous threat on the passing front.

However, it became hard to ignore the internal friction that started to rear its ugly head after the Bills came up short in their quest for a Super Bowl for the third straight year in 2023.

Diggs was seen yelling at Allen during their loss to the Bengals in the divisional round and was initially a no-show at training camp last summer, and while he appeared in every single game last year, his brother Trevon fueled the rumor mill by asserting the wideout wasn’t being set up for success in Buffalo.

On Tuesday, Diggs decided to stir the pot a little bit when he replied to a Twitter user who argued the WR wasn’t “essential” to Allen’s success by asking, “You sure?”

Well, we’ll get to see if that’s the case next season thanks to what transpired on Wednesday, as Ian Rapoport learned the Bills decided to trade Diggs to the Texans for a second-round pick in 2025 in addition to a couple of late-round picks over the next couple of years.

It’s safe to assume the tweet in question didn’t play a role in that trade, although it is a bit hard to ignore the timing of the transaction.

The Bills will head to Houston to face off against the Texans at some point next season, and it’s also safe to assume both Diggs and Allen will be circling that matchup on their calendars.
