Offensive coordinator Bobby Petrino will face his old team this Saturday when Texas A&M takes on Arkansas. The former Razorback head coach is now with the Aggies calling plays for Jimbo Fisher.

While he was extremely successful in his four-year stint in Fayetteville, controversy surrounded his unexpected departure.

For those that may have forgotten, a motorcycle accident would lead to his downfall. The head coach suffered some pretty serious injuries in the crash, but maybe none more significant than the eventual loss of his job.

The initial concern surrounded Petrino’s health following the spill, but the plot would soon thicken.

It was found that he was not the only person on the bike at the time of the incident. A female passenger was also on board, who was discovered to be a 25-year-old Arkansas staffer.

Petrino wouldn’t survive the controversy, and most remember the end of his tenure by an image of the coach wearing a brace while speaking with the media.

With an upcoming meeting against the Razorbacks set for Saturday, many Aggie fans are making the same hilarious request.

They want Petrino to bring the brace back for the Arkansas game.

“If Bobby Petrino had even a drop of a sense of humor, he’d show up to Jerryworld on Saturday in the brace.”

“Bobby has an opportunity to do something hilarious.”

“The neck brace would be commitment to the bit… He better at least wear the Sugar Bowl hat.”

The Aggies and Razorbacks will face off at noon in Dallas this Saturday in the SEC West showdown. While this will be his first meeting with the Hogs at TAMU, it’s not Petrino’s first since the Arkansas firing.

Last season, he nearly led an upset bid as Missouri State’s head coach though his team would eventually fall 38-27. The Bears led the Arkansas by 10 points in the fourth quarter before allowing a trio of Razorback touchdowns over the final 12 minutes of play.

He’ll get a shot at redemption this weekend.
