Atlanta Braves third baseman Josh Donaldson had some fun with a heckling Mets fan sitting behind home plate today.
In the top of the second, Donaldson talked to a couple of Mets fans sitting behind the on-deck circle who were talking trash to him. Donaldson went on to ask if one of them would touch his bat for good luck, the fan countered by saying she would only touch the bat to give him bad luck.
Donaldson would then go up to the plate and immediately hit a homer after the exchange with the fans.

As Donaldson made his way towards the dugout he tried to get a high five from the fan and was denied.
Josh Donaldson gets the #Braves on the board with his 31st HR of the season. They now lead the #Mets 1-0 in the 2nd inning. I think JD got the final laugh with a fan talking smack in stands behind home plate. @FOXSportsBraves pic.twitter.com/h5ubg3Tnp9

Donaldson would later gift the fan with an autographed bat that read “To my biggest fan”.

It seems like the Mets fan actually gave Donaldson good luck because he hit another dinger in the seventh inning.
