Brian Harman had a week that every golfer dreams of. The 36-year-old captured the 2023 Open Championship at Royal Liverpool in Hoylake, England, running away from the field by six strokes.

It’s by far the biggest win of his career. Granted, that’s not a high bar considering he had only won two tournaments prior, but still an impressive accomplishment.

But, it was an impressive performance nonetheless. The Georgia Bulldog birdied the 2nd-5th holes on Friday to seize the lead and never looked back. Players such as Jon Rahm, Sepp Straka and Rory McIlroy made runs on Sunday, but Harman was incredibly steady, firing a -1 70 in horrific conditions with sideways rain most of the day.

With the win, he wins possession of the famed Claret Jug for the next year, and he knew exactly what he wanted to do with it once he won. Drink beer out of it, of course.

Yeah, he’s going to have a fun night in England.
