Brian Kelly has been in Baton Rouge at the head football coach at LSU since November of 2021. His daughter Grace graduated from Notre Dame in the spring of 2023 and followed her father to Louisiana shortly thereafter.
Now that the entire Kelly family is established down on the bayou, she has quickly become a prominent member of the community.
Grace separates her own identity from that of her dad and does not care what people think about what she wears, who she is, or what she has to say. It is a rather admirable approach to an often difficult role as the child of a college football coach. It has also led to a lot of funny moments throughout the last few years.
The 23-year-old often pokes fun at Brian Kelly when applicable. For example, she mocked him for his fake southern accent on Father’s Day and got him to participate in a viral dance trend on TikTok.
Even though Grace is able to laugh at her father’s expense, she has his back. All of the negativity rolls off of her shoulders. It is a skill that she has acquired over many years.
