Notre Dame Coach Brian Kelly Surprises Walk-On With Full Scholarship, Gets Mobbed By Teammates

During the unveiling of Notre Dame’s new uniforms for its Green Monster game at Fenway Park, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly had another revelation to make, one that would change a walk-on running back Josh Anderson’s life.

After Kelly ran through the bells and whistles of the new threads in front of a packed meeting room, he turned his attention to his uniform model, Josh Anderson.

Kelly says,

“He’s a great model, that’s why I brought him up here. He models a lot of the things that are right with Notre Dame football. He’s worked hard since he’s come here, he’s worked hard and today, Josh, congratulations, we’re awarding you a scholarship.”

The entire team then mobbed the senior running back in celebratory fashion.

See bros, hard work does pay off. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go take a nap.
