The people who roasted Tom Brady during the Netflix special that was held on Sunday night had plenty of material to work with, but it doesn’t sound like Bridget Moynahan was thrilled with the jokes that referenced the end of her relationship with the quarterback.

Most people are aware Tom Brady was married to Gisele Bündchen for over thirteen years after tying the knot in 2009 in a ceremony that transpired around three years after they started dating.

The power couple became an item shortly after Brady brought his two-year relationship with actress Bridget Moynahan to an end, which ended up being a pretty rough look for the QB when you consider she eventually announced she’d gotten pregnant with his child just before he called it quits.

While Brady’s kids were technically off limits during the roast, there was apparently no rule against referencing the pregnancy that led to the birth of the now 16-year-old Jack—which is exactly what Nikki Glaser decided to do when she stepped up to the dais for one of the better sets of the night.

Will Ferrell (who reprised the role of Ron Burgundy for the roast) also got in on the action by quipping “The last time this guy went truly deep, he ended up paying child support to Bridget Moynahan.” Brady seemed to take both of those jabs in stride, but it appears his former significant other wasn’t as gracious.

On Monday, Moynahan hopped on Instagram to seemingly respond to what unfolded at the roast by posting a message that reads “Loyal people take s— more personal because they never would’ve did that s— to you.”

This isn’t the first time Moynahan (who appears to have a cordial relationship with Brady) has used the platform to post a cryptic message seemingly inspired by her ex. In 2022, she threw up another quote that was widely interpreted as a thinly veiled message concerning his ongoing divorce from Gisele.

I think she’s earned the right to be fairly salty.
