For someone who doesn’t actually play in the NFL, Brittany Mahomes sure is hated by a lot of NFL fans.
Ever since she doused some fans with champagne before she and Patrick Mahomes were even married, Brittany Mahomes has done one thing after another to make fans hate her.
So much so that in March of 2022, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes’ brother Jackson were two of the 20 most hated people in the NFL by a study – and they were the only two that weren’t a coach, owner or player to make the list.
Brittany Mahomes’ latest move to draw the ire of a bunch of NFL fans (and especially Swifties) was publicly liking some posts Donald Trump made on social media.
Not that she cares.
This week on an episode of something called the WHOOP podcast, Brittany Mahomes was asked about all of the negativity she receives.
“I honestly don’t give a f— what people have to say about me anymore,” she claimed. “We got thrown into the fire and I think that’s what’s helped us do so well in the life that we have.
“We did it all together. He is a lot better about it than I am. His dad played professional sports. I think he was around it and understood it a lot more than I did.
“Having him to help me get through it has helped me a lot because he’s good at managing that and blocking people out. I think the main thing he always told me is to stop caring what people think, especially the people who don’t know you.
“Social media used to get to me a lot. I think he’s helped me get to that point that to where I’m strong in who I am and I’m confident in who I am. I’m confident in mine and his relationship and I’m confident in our life. So why does what other people have to say have to matter at all?”
Those quotes all came after WHOOP Founder and CEO Will Ahmed actually referred to her as a “professional athlete.” She played one season of soccer in Iceland after college.

“It was wild,” she replied. “I think that’s definitely not something that I expected and so I think just both of us, you know, off across the world, you know, perfecting our crafts and following our dreams was pretty cool. It was wild.”
