Patrick and Brittany Mahomes proudly announced the newest addition to their family. Their new son, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, joined the world on Monday and now shares a name with his quarterback father.

The NFL world was quick to congratulate Patrick and Brittany Mahomes after they announced the arrival of their son on Instagram. Patrick Mahomes shared a picture of his new son laying on a customized blanket with ‘Mahomes’ printed on it.

Baby boy ‘Bronze’ is in a brown and white tye-dyed onesie and either Patrick or Brittany Mahomes has laid a diamond chain with ‘BRONZE’ at the baby’s feet, his new nickname. Getting a diamond chain/bracelet with the word ‘BRONZE’ must’ve confused the jeweler a bit at first but I’m sure they talked that through:

The NFL world was quick to offer up congratulations. The official Kansas City Chiefs account wrote ‘Congratulations Patrick & Brittany ❤️’. Texas Tech Football commented ‘Congrats Patrick and Brittany! ❤️🖤’ and Brittany Mahomes wrote ‘Baby boy🤎🤍’ on Patrick’s post before he added her as a collaborator.

Both Sporting KC and the KC Royals also offered congratulations. As did the NFLPA, Jackson Mahomes, countless teammates of Patrick, adidas Football, Louis Riddick, Damien Woody, and hundreds of others.

There were rumors that Brittany Mahomes was going into labor on Sunday while Patrick Mahomes was dismantling the Los Angeles Rams in a 26-10 win. Brittany took to social media to dispel those rumors:

Patrick and the Kansas City Chiefs will now travel to Cincinnati this week to face the Bengals.
