FACT: Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Connor Barwin is one of the biggest Bros in the NFL. Yesterday at Foxboro, #98 proved how much of a stud he is both on and off the field: He racked up six tackles and two sacks in the Eagles upset against the Patriots. To toast the victory, he walked off the field with a hard-earned beer from a trash-talking Pats fan who made a bet with him prior to kickoff.
Via The Mike and Ike Show on 94WIP:
“I go out to the field and warm up by myself early and some Patriots fans—that these stadiums now have access where they’re right up on the field—and they were kind of messing with me,” Barwin told the 94WIP Mike & Ike Show on Monday. “Talking about how I wasn’t going to get any sacks, we weren’t going to win, blah, blah, blah. And I just said make sure you have a beer ready for me after we win. And sure enough, we won and they had a Bud Light ready for me so I grabbed it on my way out.”
He added, “It might be a new little tradition I have. We’ll see how it goes.” Can I get a Stone Cold “HELL YEAH?!” This would easily be one of the most bro-tastic traditions in the NFL. Just another reason Connor Barwin is THE MAN.
