Brock Lesnar’s Opponent For His MMA Return At UFC 200 Has Been Revealed

Over the weekend it was announced at UFC 199 that Brock Lesnar would be returning to the octagon at UFC 200 after being away from MMA for five years.

This came as a bit of a surprise as Lesnar is still under contract to WWE, but apparently he has their blessing as they joined in the announcement while also stating that Lesnar would return to them for SummerSlam on August 21.

What we didn’t know at the time was WHO Lesnar would be facing in his UFC return.

And now we do.

Appearing on SportsCenter on Monday morning Lesnar, 39, revealed that he would be facing off against Mark Hunt.

Hunt is 12-10-1 in his mixed martial arts career and might be a name that the casual observer of the sport is not real familiar with, but he has won his last two fights so I guess that’s…something.

As for why Lesnar is returning to the octagon he says that his last two fights in his 5-3 MMA career, in which he lost both by TKO “haunted” him. That and the fact that he’s making a “boatload of money.”

So are you excited about this announcement? I know I’m not very excited. And I am certainly not as excited as Dana White is…

That being said, if the UFC wanted attention, I suppose it really doesn’t matter who Lesnar fights, they’re going to get it.
