San Francisco 49ers Quarterback Brock Purdy Gets Huge Endorsement Before Super Bowl LVIII

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy is just four quarters of football from being a Super Bowl-winning quarterback. Considering the fact that he’s less than two calendar years removed from being the last pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

I’m not sure that Purdy would necessarily be considered a “household name” at this point, but a win on February 11th against the Kansas City Chiefs could make him one.

Brock Purdy was unlucky not to be playing in this game last year. He was undefeated as a starter prior to last season’s NFC Championship Game. But, Purdy sprained his UCL early in that loss to the Philadelphia Eagles. After backup Josh Johnson also got hurt, Purdy had to play quarterback for most of the game without being able to throw the ball more than a few yards. Who knows if the 49ers had won that game, but they would’ve had a better chance than they had without a usable quarterback.

This year, the Iowa State alum was the betting favorite for MVP before a disastrous four-interception performance against the Baltimore Ravens in Week 16. But, he still had an outstanding season distributing the ball to the 49ers’ incredible weapons. On the year, Brock Purdy completed 69% of his passes for over 4200 yards and 31 touchdowns against 11 interceptions. He led the league in yards per attempt by well over a yard at 9.3, as well.

As he prepares for the biggest game of his life in front of 100 million+ Americans and millions more around the world, Purdy is also getting a boost in his bank account, as he’s signed an endorsement deal with automaker Toyota.

You might laugh at the bank account comment, but Purdy is grossly underpaid. No matter where you fall on the “is Brock Purdy good” debate, he’s only making $870,000 this year. That’s $40 million+ less than his Super Bowl counterpart, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Whatever Toyota is paying him is sure to actually come in handy for Brock Purdy.
