The Denver Broncos received a boost of good news as talented running back Javonte Williams announced that he will be ready to participate in training camp despite recovering from a serious knee injury.

Williams, who suffered a torn ACL and LCL in Week 4 of the 2022 season against the Las Vegas Raiders, is determined to join his teammates when veterans gather for camp in Englewood, Colorado, on July 25.

At a youth camp organized by Williams and teammate Patrick Surtain II, the young running back expressed his confidence in being medically cleared for the start of camp.

Williams has been working diligently in rehab, impressing both his teammates and the Broncos organization. NFL Network’s James Palmer reported that the team has been impressed with Williams’ commitment and progress during his rehabilitation.

When asked about his readiness for training camp, Williams stated, “I mean, that’s the plan. I feel like I’m ready to go.” While his return is contingent on evaluation and approval from the Broncos medical staff, Williams is optimistic about his recovery.

He is focused on regaining his speed and returning to his pre-injury form, which showcased his physicality and potential during his rookie season.

In 2021, Williams made a significant impact in the Broncos’ backfield, amassing 1,219 scrimmage yards, including 903 rushing yards, and scoring seven touchdowns.

With Williams on track to participate in training camp, the Broncos’ plans for his return appear to be falling into place.

The team is eager to witness his comeback and expects him to contribute significantly to their offensive game plan in the upcoming season.
