Broncos safety Kareem Jackson had to deal with some really nasty stuff following the loss against the Packers on Sunday.
Jackson, who got ejected from the game, and then he received a racist direct message on Instagram, using a highly offensive racial slur.
There’s just no excuse for speaking to another person that way. It doesn’t matter they are athletes. They’re out there giving their all on the field, but you can’t forget first and foremost, they’re people. People who deserve basic decency and respect, no matter what happened during the game. It’s completely unacceptable.
In response to the DM by a guy apparently named Philipp, Kareem Jackson didn’t just take it lying down. He called out the sender for the world to see, saying he wanted everyone to know what kind of racist that person was. He even promised to keep reposting the message all week.

This isn’t the first time we’ve seen such garbage this season, Vikings Alexander Mattison had to deal with something similar earlier this season and the team and the NFL released statements of support for Mattison.
Let’s hope it’s the last time this happens. Fans need to quit this nonsense immediately.
