Money-Hungry NFL Made The Broncos Punter Spend So Much Money On A Super Bowl Ticket For His One-Week Old

Life of a punter in the NFL isn’t always that great, as teammates often poke fun of you for being the puniest guy on the field and you, sometimes, get forced to make tackles when you’re not qualified to.

But this story about the Denver Broncos punter, Britton Colquitt, has less to do with his position as it does with the NFL being greedy as fuck.

According to the Denver Post, Colquitt was forced to spend $1,800 on a ticket for his one-week-old daughter to see the game. No fucking joke, bros.

Here’s what the punter had to say, via Denver Post:

“There’s no age limit to tickets. It’s $1,800 for our week-old daughter we just had. It’s kind of crazy,” Colquitt said. “You won’t remember, but I’m paying for it. It’s not about the money because with the tickets you end up kind of forfeiting your Super Bowl check. It’s about the medal I guess and the memories and putting your name in history forever.”

Many of us might think that the life of an NFL player is all flashy, with free shit coming at every turn from people, but it turns out that the league isn’t about to give players handouts—or Super Bowl tickets—no matter how young the spectator is.

Some may believe that it’s just another shitty reason for being a punter, but, nope, it’s just the NFL being the biggest money mongers on the fucking planet.
