The Broncos QB Room Combination Of Bo Nix And Zach Wilson Has Led To Tons Of Jokes

After giving up on the Russell Wilson experiment after two middling-to-miserable seasons, Sean Payton and the Denver Broncos drafted who they hope will be their quarterback of the future by selecting Oregon signal caller Bo Nix in the first round of the 2024 NFL Draft.

The Broncos selected Nix, who spent three seasons at Auburn and another two at Oregon, with the 12 overall pick in the draft, which many analysts considered to be a reach.

Following the selection of Nix, the Broncos quarterback room now consists of him, former Jets QB Zach Wilson (whom they traded for), and veteran journeyman Jarret Stidham, which has predictably led to tons of jokes on social media about the sad state of Denver’s QB room.

One tweet from an NFL fan compared Wilson and Nix to Cole and Dylan Sprouse from the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody.

Another funny aspect of the Nix and Wilson duo is, despite the fact that Wilson is entering his fourth season in the NFL, the pair are the same age at 24 years old. There’s also the fact that the pair look generally similar, as well.

During his college career at Auburn and Oregon, Nix started in 61 games and compiled a record of 43-18. In those 61 games, he completed 66.4% of his passes for 15,352 yards, 108 touchdowns, and 26 interceptions. Nix also carried the ball 405 times for 1,613 yards and 38 touchdowns.

Broncos head coach Sean Payton certainly won’t mind the NFL world doubting his selection of Nix as he proved with Drew Brees that he’s able to build an offense and win games around a QB who maybe isn’t widely seen as being the answer at the position.
