It feels like college basketball fans have been waiting forever to find out where Bronny James would play next season.

For some time now, his list of potential teams has been narrowed down to USC, Oregon, and Ohio State, but he has remained one of the last recruits in the top 100 without a commitment for next season.

Today that finally changed.

Bronny took to his Instagram today to announce that he would be committing to the USC Trojans.

USC recently overtook Oregon as the favorite to get a commitment from Bronny James and ended up beating out the Ducks and the Buckeyes to land the star combo guard.

Bronny joins a recruiting class for the Trojans that was already pretty noteworthy before he signed on.

Despite not finding themselves among the nation’s top recruiting classes, USC had already landed a pair of top recruits. They brought in the nation’s 46th-ranked recruit and 7th best center in Arrinten Page and also landed the top recruit in the country in point guard Isaiah Collier.

Now they bring in James who is a 5-star recruit that has been flying up the rankings for college basketball recruits throughout his senior season of high school basketball. He is currently the 21st-ranked recruit in the country.

Bronny and Collier should quickly form on of the nation’s most formidable young backcourts.

USC is coming off of a strong 2022-23 season where they finished 3rd in PAC-12 regular season and earned themselves a spot in the NCAA Tournament before losing to strong Michigan State team.

Now they’ll be hoping that their star-studded 2023 recruiting class can put together another strong season in conference play and lead the program back to March Madness for a 3rd consecutive year.
