USC basketball is 0-2 with Bronny James on the floor. It’s all Drake’s fault.

Everybody knows that the Drake Curse is real. The Trojans are finding out the hard way after making a big mistake by embracing the Canadian rapper.

For those who are unaware of the stigma surrounding Drake’s loose, bandwagon fandom, let me explain. Basically, throughout the last 10 years or so, every time that Aubrey Graham supports a specific athlete or team, that athlete or team loses. There have been a few exceptions, but it has been pretty consistent.

Most recently, Drake was photographed in a USC sweatshirt on Dec. 10. The university’s athletic department posted about his support on social media.

Drake’s attire happened to coincide directly with LeBron Jr.’s first-career college basketball game. Bronny James took the floor for the first time against Long Beach State.

The Trojans lost by five in overtime after blowing a 15-point lead in the second half.

Their second game since Drake donned their letters was even worse. USC got smacked by Auburn on Saturday in front of a hostile SEC student section.

They were relentless toward Bronny during warmups.

They went absolutely bonkers when Dylan Cardwell dunked all over the son of the greatest basketball player of all-time. Bronny was put on a poster.

The staredown was even more savage.

Bronny made a business decision and got out of Cardwell’s way, so it wasn’t a full poster. Just a half poster.

Still, he got dunked all over during a 16-point loss.

The good news is that it is not his fault. Neither Bronny nor the Trojans can be held responsible for poor play this season. The Drake Curse made its way to the most prominent university in Los Angeles and USC made a big mistake by embracing his fandom.
