Sitting courtside next to LeBron James is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not only is James typically on the floor himself, the chances of timing it to where you catch him at a game that isn’t his own are slim.

James attends the occasional WNBA game and always shows out to support his two sons whenever possible. Bryce is still in high school so it’s not quite as formal. Bronny is at USC, so there is a more legitimate “courtside presence” to his father’s attendance.

One Trojans fans could not believe his luck on Wednesday night.

Washington State rolled into Los Angeles and ultimately left with an eight-point win. LeBron James was at the Galen Center for the game. He sat right on the wood and his arrival led to an all-time reaction.

An unnamed fan was already sitting in a courtside seat next to his wife (?) when King James arrived and plopped down in the seat directly to his right. The man could not believe his neighbor and did everything in his power to play it cool. It was gold!

Although Bronny James and USC lost their eighth game of the season and fell to 8-8, the unsuspecting fan who sat next to the greatest basketball player of all-time didn’t care about the result. He was rubbing elbows with LeBron!!

You have to wonder a few things:

  • How quickly did he text his group chat to inform the homies that LeBron was sitting next to him while courtside at a college basketball game?
  • Did he work up the courage to introduce himself to the patriarch?
    • How long did it take?
  • Who bought the tickets? Because he will forever be indebted to whomever it was that suggested he sit courtside… next to the GOAT!

Unfortunately, Bronny hasn’t quite had it click on the collegiate level and did not record a single point in 15 minutes against the Cougars. Even though the fan sitting courtside didn’t get to see him find nylon, and witnessed a loss, none of that mattered. He was sitting next to LEBRON JAMES!
