Brooks Koepka’s Wife Jena Sims Uses Perfect Flex To Explain PGA Championship Absence

It looked like Brooks Koepka had a very good chance to add his first green jacket to his collection at The Masters in 2023, but when everything was said and done, he was unable to keep up with Jon Rahm’s surge in the final round at Augusta National.

However, he did have a shot at redemption at the PGA Championship, an event where he’d already racked up back-to-back victories in 2018 and 2019.

Plenty of players struggled to figure out Oak Hill Country Club after the action at the tract in Rochester, NY officially kicked off on Thursday, but Koepka was able to hold his own and headed into Sunday with a one-stroke lead over Corey Conners and Victor Hovland.

Michael Block may have stolen the show thanks to the Cinderella story we were treated to over the course of the tournament, but Koepka got the bulk of the glory by finishing at -9 to secure the PGA Championship by two strokes to win his fifth major (which made him the first LIV Golf defector to do so).

It’s pretty common for victorious golfers to be greeted by their significant other after walking off of the 18th hole, but if you were keeping a close eye on what unfolded when Koepka wrapped up his final round at Oak Hill, you may have noticed his wife Jena Sims was nowhere to be found.

It’s hard to blame Sims for missing the event when you consider she got the chance to head to Miami to take part in the “Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue” Launch Party festivities, which I think most people would view as a superior option to spending a weekend in Rochester.

However, she was able to root for her husband from afar and shared her emotional reaction to his win.

She also had the perfect response to a TikTok follower who asked why she hadn’t been in attendance, as she posted a video of herself cleaning off a shelf in the trophy room that will soon be home to Koepka’s third Wanamaker Trophy.

Nailed it.
