Two-star quarterback E.J. Perry has had quite the college football journey. After leaving high school as a two-star recruit, the Massachusetts-native is gaining a great reputation at the NFL Scouting Combine.

Perry, who stands 6-foot-2, 211 pounds, played his first two years at Boston College. However, after spending time in the backup role, he chose to transfer down a level and play at Brown University in the FBS.

While in Rhode Island, he earned first-team All-Ivy League honors in each of his two years as the Bears’ starter. In 2019 he led the FCS and set a conference record with 3,679 yards of total offense in 10 starts and then earned Ivy League Offensive Player of the Year honors as a senior.

Since the end of the 2021 season, Perry has impressed scouts with his athleticism during postseason All-Star games and was named the East-West Shrine Bowl MVP.

As a result, he earned an invite to the NFL Combine this week.

After arriving in Indianapolis, he has caught the attention of NFL scouts. He kicked things off with a very quick 40-yard dash.

And was lighting it up during the on-the-field throwing session.

Perry’s official NFL Combine schedule ended mid-week, but Perry decided to stay in Naptown and help out with other drills. It was another opportunity to show his stuff.

After helping out with the defensive linemen and other prospects on Saturday, Perry stood out for something that he did off of the field. Rather than leaving the field, after drills that were not even for him, he went up and down the sideline picking up every last piece of trash.

The moment, caught on camera, was not only a testament to Perry’s character, but also to his work ethic. Should he be drafted in April, Perry will be the first quarterback in history from Brown to hear his name called.

It’s safe to say that we are all rooting for him!
