We don’t often get stories that reminds us why we love sports, but this is one of them.

In a heartwarming gesture, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski went the extra mile to personally deliver the game ball to injured running back Nick Chubb following the team’s victory yesterday.

Tom Withers of the Associated Press reported on what Kevin Stefanski shared during his press conference and the gesture speaks volumes about the camaraderie within the Browns organization.

The Browns’ beat Titans on Sunday 27-3, securing their 2-1 record for the season.

That was obviously a sweet victory considering many doubted their abilities on offense without star running back Nick Chubb.

Chubb suffered a devastating season-ending knee injury last week on Monday Night Football clash against the Steelers.

Chubb’s absence was keenly felt, but his teammates stepped up admirably to fill the void.

Jerome Ford, who took on the starting role of Chubb’s replacement, scored two touchdowns, one through the air and one on the ground, amassing 51 total yards during the game.

The defense deserves recognition as well for their stellar performance in the first three weeks of the season. They held the Bengals to 3 points in Week 1 and replicated that feat by allowing only 3 points to the Titans in Week 3.

This collective effort on both sides of the ball highlights the Browns’ ability to overcome adversity as Nick Chubb watches his teammates win for him.
