The Cleveland Browns have secured the services of seasoned defensive lineman Shelby Harris on a one-year contract, according to NFL Insider Jordan Schultz.

Harris reportedly stands to earn up to $5.3 million on the one year deal.

At 31 years old, Harris arrives at the Browns’ doorstep with a wealth of experience under his belt.

Last season, he showcased his skills as a member of the Seattle Seahawks, a stint that followed his trade from the Denver Broncos in a deal involving star quarterback Russell Wilson.

During his time with the Seahawks, Harris left his mark with 24 solo tackles, two sacks, four passes defended, five tackles for loss and six quarterback hits in 15 starts.

The Browns’ determination to enhance their defensive line was evident throughout the offseason, with noteworthy acquisitions further underscoring their commitment.

The signing of Dalvin Tomlinson, inked to a substantial four-year, $57 million contract, demonstrated their desire to add depth and power to their defensive front.

The team also traded for Pro-Bowl DE Za’Darius Smith from the Vikings, to bolster the pass-rush.

As the Browns emerge from consecutive losing seasons, their focus has intensified on achieving an upward trajectory in the 2023 season.
