Things didn’t work out well for Bryan Harsin on the Plains as he was let go in the middle of his second season at Auburn. He’s now been replaced by Hugh Freeze, causing a reaction from a family member online.
Harsin went just 9-12 with the Tigers over a short yet turbulent tenure. The hire never seemed to be a fit with the SEC power which led many supporters to become skeptical of his potential success. Obviously, that success never came, though he wasn’t given much of a shot.
Harsin rubbed many in the Auburn family the wrong way. The on-field production, combined with recruiting and roster management tactics failed to land him much of a following at the university. Things came to a head when he reportedly told players to transfer or quit before asking for a redshirt.
The head coach was fired after the eighth game of the year, but the tension between Harsin’s family and the university apparently hasn’t subsided.
On Monday, after seeing the Tigers hire Hugh Freeze, Harsin’s sister in-law Keli Park posted a jab on Instagram.

The post was an obvious shot at Hugh Freeze’s checkered past dating back to his time with SEC rival Ole Miss. The head coach was fired for hiring prostitutes while using a school-issued cell phone.
It’s not the first time Keli has been seen backing her brother in-law. She posted a number of Instagram messages in the offseason when boosters tried to find a way to get rid of Harsin before the start of the season.

Things didn’t work out for Harsin and Co. in Auburn. It will be interesting to see where the family lands next.
