Bryce James pulled off a pretty great prank call on his mom Savannah during Tuesday’s episode of her Everybody Crazy podcast.
During a segment on the show called “What’s Your Crazy” where Savannah James’ listeners call in to express their frustrations or problems occurring in their lives, she opened with a call from 17-year-old “Darrell” from Atlanta.
“So my crazy is, you know, I’m 17-years-old and I’d be playing a video game and I be cussing, screaming, banging a desk, and my mom come in and like, starts yelling at me,” he started out the call, already causing Savannah to “tsk” under her breath and shake her head.
“So I just want to know if you think that’s crazy?”
“I think it’s crazy because I can hear my sons through the walls as well,” Savannah replied. “But, you know, I did this rule with my sons – this is Savannah – you know, they play basketball and I gave them the ‘you can cuss on the court rule,’ but I guess I got to translate that to you can cuss when you on the game too because the obscenities that fly out of their mouths through my closet wall? It’s crazy.
“And I feel like it’s normal,” Everybody Crazy co-host April McDaniel added. “I think kids get excited. My only thing is in my house I feel like sometimes someone’s dying. It’s a little extreme. So there’s like, limits to it. So I feel like you could go excitement, six to eight, a 10 is crazy and sometimes you guys are at a 10. So I think just like, bring it down a little bit, but I think it…”
“Keep it between a six and eight,” Savannah interjected.
The call ended with McDaniel telling “Darrell” that he is “not that crazy, but thank you for calling!”
“To be honest mom I don’t even that’s crazy at all,” the 16-year-old Bryce James replied, giving himself up.
“See there you go,” McDaniel then said, right before Savannah realized what was happening.
“Wait?!” she shouted. “Bryce?! What the f—?!”
