Following Denver’s miraculous triumph over New England on Sunday afternoon, Tom Brady shared a moment with Broncos running back C.J. Anderson at midfield that will actually make you appreciate the Patriots quarterback, as difficult as that may be.
Because amazingly enough, Tom Brady IS aware of the football world that exists outside of Tom Brady. Particularly for those who have gone undrafted or drafted late, like himself.

If Brady’s words to the undrafted Anderson of “way to fight and prove everybody wrong” don’t warm your cold dead heart just a little bit, I’m not sure what will.
Here’s the full quote from Anderson’s post:
“I know a lot of people hate this man but man when he was pick 199 and was over look he inspired me I was undrafted and over came all the odds so bless what he told me at the end of this game. He said “CJ way to fight and prove everybody wrong you belong in this league and your one hell of a player I love the way you run keep climbing to be great” those words meant so much growing up watching Tom overcame I’m proud to say I’m 3-2 vs his teams and proud to say I get to battle him every year. Thanks Tom for telling me those words they will stick and I know a lot of people don’t like you but I have MAD RESPECT. Thanks I see you overcome as others in this league and now it’s my turn.”
I’m not sure it was necessary for Anderson to point out his record against the legend of Tom Brady, especially considering this is C.J. ANDERSON we’re talking about, but I’m willing to overlook that and say he was probably just overcome with emotion.
I’m also not sure there was any point in saying that people don’t like Tom Brady; twice.
But again, emotion. Lots and lots of emotion.
