Caitlin Clark didn’t like a reporter trying to stir the pot about her relationship with Angel Reese.

For the past three years, Clark and Reese have been bitter rivals on the court.

While playing for Team USA at the FIBA World Cup, Clark and Reese have bonded and played well together.

“We can kind of rely on each other, lean on each other,” Reese said. “This is our first big national event, so being able to play with each other, learn each other and go through these learning process together, it’s fun.”

Clark commented about how the media tries to stir drama between them.

“No matter what, there’s always going to be people that create those narratives and say whatever they want to say,” Clark said. “There’s definitely no stopping that and they’re always going to be there. I think for ourselves, like I said, it’s easy for us to just come in here and compete.”

After Team USA’s gold medal win on Sunday, one reporter tried to ask Clark about her recent friendship with Reese, and the Fever star believed the journalist was trying to ragebait her.

“We’ve always been friends,” Clark said. “Don’t try to do that. Don’t try to do that.”

Clark even circled back to stare down the reporter before leaving the press area.
